Abstract

Fathirsa Ariya Wirayuda, Review of the Completeness and Accuracy of the Gastroenteritis code in Inpatients at RSUD Budhi Asih Gastroenteritis code is divided into two, namely infectious gastroenteritis and non-infectious gastroenteritis. Infectious gastroenteritis is consist of into two acute infectious gastroenteritis coded A 09.0 and UNSP infectious gastroenteritis coded A09.9. Non-infectious gastroenteritis coded K 52.- and Neonatal non-infectious gastroenteritis coded P 78.3. The completeness and accuracy of gastroenteritis coding comes from the patients, doctors, and nurses who record information on the patient's condition, and the coder provides the coding. The purpose of this study was to determine the completeness and accuracy of coding in cases of gastroenteritis in hospitalized patients based on ICD-10. The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. This research was conducted at RSUD Budhi Asih on August 16 – September 9, 2021. The sample used was medical records for gastroenteritis cases in inpatients in January 2021, a sample size of 115 medical records was obtained by means of probability sampling. The factors for the inaccuracy of coding for gastroenteritis are due to the incomplete writing of the appropriate diagnosis in the ICD-10 and the coder still coding the diagnosis. The completeness and accuracy of the gastroenteritis code produces appropriate information not only for hospitals but also for other parties in need, such as research and insurance.
